Fanatic About Fonts

For many the message can only be completed with the perfect use of a font. Mistakes in Typography Grate the Purists, a recent article, in The New York Times shared the enthusiasm many designers have about fonts and the correct use of them. Check it out, it's an interesting read. I guarantee you that next time you see a font, you won't look at it the same way.

Saute It Your Way

A little while back, we created and launched a web site for a new line of Louisiana culinary products called Saute Your Way. Our client, Ala Carte Foods has expanded the brand and it is in fine grocery stores all across the South. This week they premiered their first television spot. Although, we didn't create the spot, it was inspired by the website.

Check it out and if you see it in the stores, pick up a few.

When Texting Is Wrong

The Issue:

You’re having dinner with your teenage kids, and they text throughout: you hate it; they’re fine with it. At the office, managers are uncertain about texting during business meetings: many younger workers accept it; some older workers resist. Those who defend texting regard such encounters as the clash of two legitimate cultures, a conflict of manners not morals. If a community — teenagers, young workers — consents to conduct that does no harm, does that make it O.K., ethically speaking?

Entrepreneurial Inspiration

This weekend while taking a short road trip, I discovered a new source of entrepreneurial inspiration - From Scratch Radio. This radio broadcast can be heard on NPR weekly. I discovered very interesting interviews by Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa and many other entrepreneurs. So if you have a few minutes, check it out and I'm sure you will be inspired to venture out into a new venture or expand your current business.

Virtual Ad Man?

This is an interesting article in The New York Times. As traditional media fades and new robust online publications take root, I expect to see lots of integration.

What's for dinner tonight?

This is a website we created sometime back. So, if you are thinking about what to prepare for dinner, check out Saute Your Way...

Sauté Your Way was designed for people who love great-tasting food but don’t have the time or kitchen experience to prepare a restaurant-quality meal. The recipes perfectly pair wild caught shrimp fresh from the Gulf of Mexico with classic, world-inspired sauce flavors developed by top Chef Paul Prudhomme to create a bold new meal concept.

The quick and easy stovetop sauté method prepares the delicious Sauté Your Way dishes in under 30 minutes. Each package includes eight ounces of raw, peeled, pillow-packaged, domestic Louisiana Gulf Shrimp and ten ounces of restaurant quality, heat and serve sauce made by Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Magic Seasoning Blends. The high-quality meal is perfect for personalization; by simply adding pasta, rice or vegetables, the meal easily serves four.

The mouth-watering meals are available in three recipes: Gulf Shrimp with New Orleans Roasted Garlic Sauce, Gulf Shrimp with Key Largo Lemon & Dill Sauce and Gulf Shrimp with Asian Soywabi Sauce.
